Guidelines for hosting an ICMM Congress

ICMM member museums may submit a bid to host an ICMM Congress in response to a general Congress bid invitation from the ICMM Executive Council. Bids are always considered at least two years in advance of the Congress date. Specific guidelines for hosting a future ICMM Congress are issued by the Executive Council when bids are sought.

Due to COVID-19, our 2021 Congress has been rescheduled for 2022, meaning that subsequent Congresses will be hosted in 2024, 2026, etc. Expressions of Interest for those seeking to host the 2024 Congress were sought in the Autumn of 2019 and bids will now be developed during the course of 2021 for presentation to the Executive Council in early 2022.
