We were delighted to be invited to attend the Lloyd’s Register Foundation Heritage Centre’s Stakeholder day in London on Monday 10th March. Our ICMM President Kristen Greenaway and Project Manager Felicity Ferguson presented on our new Global Maritime Histories Project, for which we recently announced the first four projects to receive funded grant awards.
ICMM was well represented on the day with Hon. Secretary-General Sally Archer and ICMM Ocean Sustainability Committee Chair Laura Boon-Williams also in the audience, alongside representatives from several other ICMM member organisations including National Museums Liverpool, SS Great Britain Trust, Hong Kong Maritime Museum, Royal Museums Greenwich, and National Historic Ships UK.
It was a very productive and inspiring day, with the opportunity to learn about other LRF Heritage Centre-funded projects both large and small, and to find synergies between these projects and new partners. Thank you Lloyd’s Register Foundation for a great day!
